Travel Tips

Whether you're in the planning phase of your trip or you leave tomorrow, our travel tips and suggestions can help you make the most out of your vacation.

  • Don't Share Too Much On Social Media

You might be excited about leaving for your trip and want to share about your upcoming trip with all your friends on social media. But be careful- you never know who might see your posts. People who have shared their travel plans on social media have been victim to thieves who break in while away. Feel free to post about your trip, but be careful about how many details you share and that your posts are private!

  • Using Text Messages to Check Flight Status

You can now text your airline code and flight number to Google's text number, "466453," and receive your flight's status within seconds. Helpful for the avid traveler, the text will let you or anyone picking you up know right away if your flight has been delayed.

  • Hold Your Mail

Contact your local post office to hold your mail while you're away on vacation. The post office will keep your mail for as long as you tell them. Even if you decide to extend your vacation, you can always call or make an online change to your pick-up. Although receiving 'snail mail' is less frequent these days, it's nice to know that the little you do get is in safe hands while you're away.
