For those who love the indoors, there are several museums and homes to visit. The Pittock Mansion is a beautiful turn-of-the-century home in Portland, the past home of Portland pioneer and founder of The Oregonian newspaper, Henry Pittock. Another beautiful home is the Shelton-McMurphey-Johnson House. This historic home and museum is located on the slope of Skinner Butte. For yet another kind of museum, the Oregon Air and Space museum is always a great stop. This museum has an interesting collection of experimental aircraft.
