The Banff Mountain Film Festival takes place each year in January. The Festival features the work of the world's finest mountain filmmakers. In April the gastronomic event, Feast Walla Walla, takes over Main Street. It has over 50 vendors, including 25 wine-makers. They provide samples of their wares for all to enjoy. Take time to visit the Children's Museum of Walla Walla. The site was keenly developed to intrigue and inspire children. The museum has on display a host of permanent exhibits such as The Enchanted Theater. This one is a huge puppet theater where children can learn, put on costumes and even perform up on stage. The Main Street won a Great American Main Street Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. For dining in the area, Brasserie Four is a casual brasserie serving classic French country-style dishes. They also have alcoholic beverages and Stumptown coffee. CreekTown Cafe is a small bistro with an atmosphere as hospitable to high-heels and ties as it is to work-boots and Carhartts.
