  • WELCOME TO NEW BRAUNFELS TEXAS

GENUINE FRIENDSHIP, GREAT FOOD and GREAT ATMOSPHERE can be found on 43 peaceful scenic acres just 6-8 minutes from Gruene, Gruene Hall and downtown New Braunfels. Come relax in the Texas Hill Country between San Antonio and Austin. Perfect for weekday or weekend getaways, couples or a group of couples, families, meetings, church and business retreats or others.

Our buildings consist of 3 beautifully restored historic buildings: a new cabin called the Deer Haven Cabin, one unit perfect for 2 or up to 5, the Kuebler Waldrip Haus, an original 1847 German rock and timber home, and the Danville Schoolhouse, an original 1863 one-room schoolhouse.

BUILDING #1: THE DEER HAVEN CABIN (900 sq. ft.)is a newly finished building that used to be our barn and used for storage. The walls are 4" cement walls that were recycled from a local bank and wood that is from other old buildings. It has 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, tile floors and a shower/Jacuzzi tub, and it sleeps 2-5.

BUILDING#2: THE KUEBLER WALDRIP HAUS (5200 sq. ft.) is an original German pioneer home that was built in 1847 by Andreas and Katherine Pape from Hanover, Germany. The second family, the Kraft's owned the property from 1900 to 1974. In 1974, Margy and Larry Waldrip and their three sons: Dibrell, Darrell and David purchased the property as a family home. The home has been restored and now has 5 separate rooms with central air, private baths, refrigerators and coffee pots.

BUILDING #3: THE DANVILLE SCHOOLHOUSE (2500 sq. ft.) is an original 1863 one-room schoolhouse that was built in Comal County Texas, also New Braunfels. It was purchased and moved to our property in May of 1990 to add to the New Braunfels bed and breakfast. It now has 5 separate rooms and baths.
