DEER HAVEN COTTAGE is a comfortable and private one story building behind the main Kuebler Waldrip Haus building, and it is a perfect room for 2 and a popular room for a family. Deer Haven Cottage is a beautifully restored building that has approximately 950 sq. ft. with 3 separate bedrooms, and the décor includes Saltillo Mexico tile floors, wood paneling, refurbished antique windows and barn wood cabinets. The first queen bedroom is a large spacious room with an attached living room, a couch and leather chairs. The second bedroom is a small bedroom with the twin perfect for a child or a single adult. The 3rd spacious bedroom has a queen bed and a closet. For the cook, inside there is a full kitchen with a small dining room, and outside there is a covered porch with a BBQ pit and furniture with a great view of the wooded property and peach trees.
Pet-Friendly Best & Breakfast Room
Pets are allowed only in the Deer Haven Cottage of the Kuebler Waldrip Haus B&B, and pets are welcome to use the leash-free coral area.
Please understand that our pet policies are to protect you and the property. We kindly ask that owners read and agree to the following policies:
- A nightly pet fee is $30.00 per pet plus tax.
- All pet reservations must be per-arranged and require approval.
- Limit of 2 pets with a weight limit of 30 lbs. or less.
- Only dogs and cats are allowed.
- Pets must be clean, not have fleas, and not be aggressive.
- If a pet is outside, it must be on a leash at all times.
- If pets are left alone inside, they must be in a carrier.
- Pet(s) must be removed during housekeeping (unless it is in a carrier)
- Pats are not allowed on any furniture or beds. Thank you.
- Pets can not be bathed in a bathtub or Jacuzzi. Thank you.
- NO Un-authorized pets will be allowed on property in a no-pet room. A Non-Refundable fee of $250.00 will be charged for each unauthorized pet.Pet owners agree to be responsible for any damage to the property and furniture.

Kuebler's Kastle Room

ROOM: KUEBLER'S KASTLE ROOM is a comfortable large downstairs room that was added in the 1980's to the Kuebler Waldrip Haus building. The Kuebler's Kastle room can be easily accessed from the front door, the breakfast room, and the downstairs common room. The spacious room has a king width bed with fluffy pillows and colorful quilts and 2 showers - a wonderful large blue and white marble shower with a handicapped accessible seat and a regular shower in the standard bath. There are 2 blue and white marble countertops. One, perfect for a business traveler and the second, has lots of light and mirrors perfect for the wife to put on makeup and hair preparation. Kuebler's Kastle room has beautiful local white limestone rock, barn wood walls, Saltillo tile floors and a sitting area with a camel back couch. Natural sunlight enters the room through 4 shuttered windows that is perfect for reading or for a working artist. This handicapped accessible bed and breakfast room is perfect for a wheelchair with no steps.

Hillside Hideaway

Hillside Hideaway is a large upstairs bed and breakfast room in the Kuebler Waldrip Haus building that faces West with a view of the wooded area, the hillside and a large open area. This how it got its name, Hillside Hideaway. It has 2 beds, a king bed and a double bed with a blue and white marble Jacuzzi bath (but without a shower). Hillside Hideaway is accented by Texas quilts and fluffy soft pillows and is a popular b&b room for a honeymoon or romantic getaway. The Hillside Hideaway porch is the perfect place to relax after a long day of having fun or shopping in New Braunfels and Gruene.
BATH: The bath in this wonderful room has a large blue and white marble jacuzzi bath, and it is a great way to relax, unwind, and rejuvenate. Please be aware that this room does not have a shower. There just was not enough room for both a jacuzzi and a shower.

Guilbeau Room
GUILBEAU (gill-bow) ROOM is a comfortable upstairs room located in the middle of the Kuebler Waldrip Haus building, and added after the 1980 restoration. Although the room does not have a porch, it is a popular room for a business traveler, a couple or a family with a child. The room has an antique queen bed, a twin bed and a large private divided bath with a 2 sinks and a separated shower and tub area. View the front or the back of the house from 2 large windows and great views from both directions. Guests staying in the Guilbeau Room get to enjoy the smell of breakfast or coffee before having breakfast and coffee.
Here is a little Texas history. This room is named after Francious Guilbeau, a French wine merchant who is credited with saving the French wine industry with Texas Mustang grapes that still grow here. Mr. Francious Guilbeau owned our property, and it was part of the Verimendi Spanish land grant in the early 1840's. If you love Texas history, please see our history page.

Katherine's Attic Room
KATHERINE'S ATTIC ROOM (380 sq. ft.) is a very large upstairs bed and breakfast room in the Historic Kuebler Waldrip Haus building that perfect for 2 and sleeps up to 5 guests. This room is also a popular room and an interesting German history. The beds include 2 king beds, 1 twin bed, and a large dressing area with a long marble countertop and lavatory. Enjoy relaxing in the bath with a maroon and white marble Jacuzzi and shower with a lavatory. Many of our guests choose this room just for 2.
If you have a small group or a family, this bed and breakfast room is perfect for 3, 4 or 5 guests. The Katherine's Attic room has a shared porch and a shared counter area (with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot) with the Room with a View (right across the hall).

ROOM WITH A VIEW is a cozy upstairs room in the Kuebler Waldrip Haus building that is perfect for 2 guests with a king bed with fluffy pillows and colorful quilts and a shower bath. Imagine waking up in the morning and enjoying a beautiful sunrise on the large porch with a cup of hot coffee? What a great way to start your morning! The large shared porch can be enjoyed by the guests in the Room with a View and the guests in the Katherine's Attic room. The decor is a western type with antique wood walls that was from a residence in Gruene, Texas. Room with a View is a popular bed and breakfast room for a business traveler or an adult and a child, and it was added to the Historic Kuebler Waldrip Hause Bed and Breakfast in 1996 with the addition of our common room.

THE EAST ROOM is a wonderful upstairs room in the Danville Schoolhouse building, and in 1990, the East Room was added to the original 1863 Danville Schoolhouse. This upstairs room has a private entrance, carpeted floors, a king bed, a shower bath and a regular sofa. The large outside porch is shared by East Room and the West Room, and it has a great view of our wooded hill country property and New Braunfels. Guests can enjoy a great outside view during the day, or on a clear night, guests can watch the stars, the planets and the moon. Guests are welcome to bring your own telescope for watching the stars and planets "Deep in the heart of Texas!"
When a family of 4 or 2 couples are traveling together, the East Room and the West Room work well together. Since the East Room and the West Room are the only upstairs rooms, the porch can be private for these two rooms.

Danville School Suit: Danville School Room
The Danville School Room Suite has 2 rooms that include the Sweet Retreat Room and the Danville School Room.
THE DANVILLE SCHOOL ROOM (approx. 864 sq. ft.) is the original one-room Texas school house that was built in 1863. The Danville School Room is a very large room with 18 ft. tall ceilings, and it has an original queen size Murphy bed and a large blue and white marble Jacuzzi tub. The room retains the original wood floors, walls and ceiling from this historic Texas school. Four large windows let in generous amounts of natural light into the room and sitting area with a 65 inch wide-screen TV and two leather couches covered with fluffy pillows. The Danville School Room has a full kitchen with stove, pots and pans, dishes, refrigerator, copper countertop, piano, chalkboard, private entrance and 2 covered porches.

The Danville School Room Suite has 2 rooms that include the Sweet Retreat Room and the Danville School Room.
SWEET RETREAT ROOM is a newly built small downstairs bedroom with approximately 300 sq. ft. in the Danville Schoolhouse building. It has private entrance, a king size bed and private bath with a handicapped shower and fold down seat. The Sweet Retreat room was created when one of the porches of the original Danville Schoolhouse building porches was enclosed to add bedrooms. The bedroom has tile floors accented with refurbished antique barn wood, and a writing desk.

THE PORCH ROOM is a unique popular downstairs room (over 400 sq. ft.) in the Danville Schoolhouse building that was created from a covered porch. The Porch Room has a king bed and a queen size sleeper sofa, a small shower bath, a kitchenette and a wonderful large uncovered porch. The kitchenette has a blue and white marble countertop with a sink. Antique wood lines the walls with 6 large windows that let in natural light and accented with Saltillo tile floors. The room has a private entrance from the porch. All guests enjoy a free breakfast, free parking and free WIFI.

Candlelight Breakfast Brunch is Included With Each Room

Our wonderful large breakfast brunch is served in the main house, the Kuebler Waldrip Haus building beginning at 9 am. Hot coffee or tea along with juice is available in our wonderful common room beginning at 7 am. Our large breakfast may include some of the following: egg dishes (cream cheese eggs, fried eggs or a quiche), fresh fruit (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, apples or oranges), fresh meat (bacon, ham or sausage), homemade breads (muffins, rolls, cinnamon rolls, coffee cake, toast or sopapillas), potato dishes (fried potatoes or scalloped potatoes), homemade tamales, jams and jellies, juice, water, milk and hot coffee or tea.
We serve family style -- that is guests sit around the table and we bring the food to the table. Here guests can enjoy breakfast and good conversation. Some guests even meet old friends here or make new ones.

The Deer Haven Cabin is a separate building with approximately 950 sq. ft, three bedrooms (2 queens and 1 twin), a living room, a full kitchen, a dining room, a private porch and a private Jacuzzi bath. Nightly room rate for 2 people is $265.00 plus 10% tax. Added guests: add $30.00 for each added adult (ages 21 and older) and add $20 for each added child (ages 3-20). No charge for children 2 and younger. Maximum number of guests allowed is 5. Our large hot breakfast is included in these rates and is served from 9 am to 11 am in our dining room. This room is a No Candles and No Smoking room inside. We do allow smoking outside or on the covered porches.
#2 BUILDING: HISTORIC KUEBLER WALDRIP HAUS (5 rooms and sleep 16 max).
ROOM: Kuebler's Kastle Room - (downstairs) has a king width bed, marble shower bath, and sleeps 2 guests. Nightly room rate for 2 is $165.00 plus 10% tax.
ROOM: Hillside Hideaway Room - (upstairs)has 1 king and 1 double beds, a marble Jacuzzi bath, and it sleeps 2-4 guests. Nightly room rate for 2 is $175.00 plus 10% tax. Added guests welcome.

#3 BUILDING: DANVILLE SCHOOLHOUSE (5 rooms and sleep 14 max).
ROOM: East Room - (upstairs)has king bed and a queen sleeper sofa, a bath with a shower, a shared porch and sleeps 2-4 guests. Nightly room rate for 2 is $165.00 plus 10% tax. Add up to 2 guests.
ROOM: West Room - (upstairs) has king bed, a bath with a shower, a shared porch and sleeps 2 maximum. Nightly room rate for 2 is $165.00 plus 10% tax.
ROOM: Danville School Room 2-Room Suite (downstairs)has 1 queen size Murphy bed and 1 king size bed, 2 baths (one with a shower and the other is the Jacuzzi bath), and sleeps 2-4 guests. Nightly room rate for up to 4 guests is $350.00 per night plus 10% tax.

Rates, Policies & Guest Information
Common Room
Common Room - is a large downstairs room in the Kuebler Waldrip Haus building that is open to all of our guests anytime. Guests may access our common room that has a large sitting area with leather seating, a wonderful book and video library, wireless internet, table games, cards, or just relax. Food and refreshments including homemade snacks, drinks, and Texas Blue Bell Ice Cream are always available. Add Amaretto, chocolate syrup, or make a coke float. The common room is always open, so please make yourselves welcome.
As our guest, you are welcome to watch TV in your room or come down to our common room where there is a 42" widescreen HD TV. Outside amenities that our guests enjoy include our playground, picnic tables, BBQ pit, fishing pond (please bring your fishing gear), and amazing star gazing "deep in the heart of Texas". Texas wildlife that can be found here are deer, birds, raccoon, fox, porcupine, fish (bass, catfish, perch, crawfish, turtles, and more) and wild cats (bobcat, ringtail, skunk, and cougar).
Each reservation includes access to our common room, complimentary refreshments, and our large full breakfast. All of our rooms have a king or queen size bed (some of the rooms have multiple beds), a private bath, private entrance, and many amenities. Please see each room for what amenities are located in each of our wonderful rooms.
Smoking Policy
All rooms are no smoking, however, we do allow smoking on the porch outside. Please pick up all butts and place in the trash. Thank you.
Pets
Owners pets live on site and they include a total 9 cats. There are 5 adult cats and 4 kittens.
Pet Policy
Please understand that we are limited in the number of rooms that we allow pets in because of the carpet in some of our rooms and because of the closeness of some of our rooms. For the comfort of our guests traveling with a pet, we allow pets in the Deer Haven Cottage. If you are bringing a pet, it must be prearrange when making your reservation. The Deer Haven Cottage is our pet designated room for pets from 1-25 lbs. A pet fee of $20 per pet per night will be charged. All of the rooms in the Kuebler Waldrip Haus building and the Danville Schoolhouse buildings are no pets allowed. The following rates apply to the Kuebler Waldrip Haus and Danville Schoolhouse Buildings.
Nightly Rates
Rates with breakfast range from $135 - $350 per night for 2 people. Extra guests in a room: each added child (ages 3-17) is $20.00, and each added adult (18 and older) is $30.00 . Pets: each pet add $20 each per night.

The Historic Kuebler Waldrip Haus Bed and Breakfast property, a Texas Bed and Breakfast, is uniquely set up in such a way that the owners and innkeepers, Margy and Darrell Waldrip, have the flexibility to take either individual room reservations or group reservations (2 or more rooms).
Types of Reservations
A individual room reservation is the rental of one room for 2 or a family of 3, 4, or up to 5 people.
Requirements: All individual reservations must be a firm reservation and are guaranteed with a name, address, cell phone, time of arrival, the number of guests, a valid credit card and payment due upon arrival.
Individual Room Cancellation Policy
This policy does not apply to group reservations. Individual room reservation cancellations 21 day or more prior to dates reserved will incur a $50.00 cancellation fee for each room cancelled. Guests cancelling individual room reservations less than 21 days prior to dates reserved are responsible for full payment of dates reserved (via credit card given to us as a guarantee) unless the room can be re-rented to replace the time and room(s) reserved. Cancellations will be accepted by phone only (no voice mail, fax, or email cancellations). Please check about our rain policy. No shows and guests departing in advance of the last day of the reservation will be charged for the full time reserved. Please reserve only the dates that you plan to keep.
Group reservation is the rental of 2 or more rooms.
All group reservations must also be firm reservations and must call for a quote, requirements, and policies.
Group Deposit Required
A 50% non-refundable deposit must be paid within 14 days after the reservation is made. We can take your reservation and hold the reservation with the coordinators name, address, cell phone, valid credit card, number of guests, times of arrival, room assignments, and if anyone in the group has any dietary needs. Thank you. It is best of the coordinator will "coordinate" the collection of the deposits and then send them all at the same time. This will lessen any confusion.
Group Cancellation Policy
The group reserving has made a commitment to the reservation once the reservation is made. The deposit is non-refundable, so if the reservation is cancelled, the deposit is forfeited. Because we are a small business, please make reservations only for the dates that you plan to keep. Thank you.
