After Eight Bed & Breakfast is a brick colonial home built in 1809 and fully renovated in 2000 located in the center of the Pennsylvania Dutch, Amish heartland and within minutes of outlet shopping and a large variety of attractions for all tastes.

Breakfast is served at 8:30am and a second seating will be at 9:30am if necessary. A full hot breakfast is served each day which can include Blueberry French Toast, Stuffing Egg Pie, Pancakes and Crepes. A breakfast meat is included every day along with eggs and fresh fruit. A large selections of hot tea is available along with fresh coffee and breakfast juices.

Breakfast is served in our ‘Garden Room’ dining area with soft music playing in the background. We serve breakfast at 8:30 am with a second seating if necessary at 9:30 am. We serve a full breakfast, which varies from day to day. Expect to be served meals that include juices, hot beverages, and entrée that might be an egg dish or casserole, deluxe pancakes, or omelet, fresh baked breads or rolls and fresh fruit. There is always something sweet to snack on. We love finding and preparing new and unusual baked goodies and all the standard treats as well. Our recipes often reflect our location in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country. Beverages are available all day long.

Robert has been the innkeeper at the After Eight Bed and Breakfast since November 2005, and has enjoyed the slower and more casual pace, over his previous home in the Maryland suburbs of Washington DC. Robert ran his own business in Washington, DC for 30 years and was a native of Maryland all his life until he moved to Pennsylvania's Amish Country. Robert especially loves the outdoors and cannot get over having open farmland right out his back door. He has also been a significant influence on his two sons encouraging them both in hiking, backpacking and cycling. He is already anticipating cycling the rolling hills in the nearby rural farmland. Experimenting and adjusting recipes and baking special sweet treats for guests is just one way Robert enjoys surprising and pleasing guests. Robert hopes that you enjoy what guests describe as his quirky sense of humor and endless stories and his suggestions of things to do while staying in Lancaster ;Pennsylvania.
