Marriott Ranch & Inn at Fairfield Farm is located in Hume, VA. In 1951, the founder of Marriott International, J. Willard Marriott Sr., discovered a beautiful piece of the Blue Ridge foothills that reminded him of his boyhood days on the family farm in Utah. After buying the property, he meticulously began to restore the primary historic buildings, their surrounding grounds and continued to purchase contiguous parcels of land including Fiery Run Ranch, creating the 4200+/- acre Marriott Ranch.

Over the following years, J. Willard would bring the farm always known as "Fairfield" back to life with a modest herd of registered Hereford cattle, a large group of black-faced sheep and through the breeding of quarter horses. J. Willard, an avid horseback rider and outdoorsman, would spend as much time as he could at his Fauquier County property and wrote in his diary, "A beautiful place, hard to leave..."

The Inn at Fairfield Farm is an historic bed & breakfast located near the center of the Marriott Ranch's 4,200 acres. Guests staying at the Inn at Fairfield Farm are welcomed with a complimentary tray of delicious cheeses (4 - 6 P.M.) along with an assortment of refreshing beverages. In the morning, a memorable 3 course "Fairfield Farm" country breakfast is served, generally between 8 - 10 A.M.

The Pavilion area is ideal for hosting large corporate picnics for over 1,000 guests or a small department outing for just a few. The Pavilion is an enclosed building with a length long retractable wall that can seat 135 guests inside or more guests may be seated in the adjoining outdoor area.

Finally, our stables offer a casual environment capable of hosting meetings up to 50 people in the Trail Barn Loft meeting room. Start your day out with a working breakfast in the Loft conference room, and then hit the trails after your meeting on one of our western style horseback rides. Lunch and dinner can be provided at this site as well.

Located at the center of the 4,200 acre Marriott Ranch is the historic James Marshall Manor House (circa 1814), which is the focal point of the Inn at Fairfield Farm. The 7 comfortable bedrooms along with afternoon beverage service and three course breakfasts serve to remind guests of the true meaning of hospitality. The Manor House public spaces are open to the public and can be booked for private or public events with seating for up to fifty guests. Guests of weddings, family reunions, corporate dinners, holiday brunches and the like have enjoyed the warm atmosphere provided in the stately Manor House.

Horseback Riding

Enjoy the out-west atmosphere with back-east convenience for some of the finest western-style horseback riding in the area. Located just fifty miles west of the Capital Beltway, the Marriott Ranch offers a variety of horse-related activities, none more popular than our ninety-minute trail rides across parts of our beautiful 4,200-acre working cattle ranch. Deer Hunting

The Marriott Ranch 3 day whitetail deer hunting packages are perfectly designed for individual outings or group retreats and are tailored for successful guided fair chase hunts. The Marriott Ranch staff will provide the professionalism and hospitality you would find at any other Marriott facility. We limit the number of hunters to no more than 8 per day, each of whom can choose from over 50 designated deer stands or blinds strategically located throughout our 4,200 acres of hardwood forests, open fields, wetlands and brush cover. Several food plots have been planted to draw deer onto our property, and to create a variety of traffic patterns for the deer to follow. Our guests undoubtedly appreciate the level of service provided through our 2 to 1 hunter to guide ratio. Our hunters enjoy comfortable lodging, wonderful cuisine and an assorted array of beverages to enjoy after hunting. Our number one objective is to provide a safe, memorable deer hunting experience for our clients while they enjoy the comforts of home, or even better!

Marriott Ranch is located on a 4200 acre working cattle ranch with a ten room bed and breakfast. The Baroness Cottage is ideal for families to rent the entire three bedroom cottage with a fully equipped kitchen and large screen television in the living room.

• Take Route 66 west approximately 40 miles to exit 27 (the second Marshall exit)

• Proceed 7.6 miles to the main entrance of the ranch on the left
• For Trail Riding continue 1.5 miles on Route 635 and turn right onto Route 726
• The Trail Ride Barn is 1.5 miles on the right

• Take Interstate 95 North to Route 17 North and follow to Warrenton
• Take 17 Business at Warrenton to Route 211 West for about 5 miles
• Turn right onto Route 688 and follow for 12 miles
• Turn left onto Route 635 and follow for 4 miles to the main entrance of the ranch on the left
• For Trail Riding continue 1.5 miles and turn right onto Route 726
• The Trail Ride Barn is 1.5 miles on the right
