    Room Rates

Our room rates are based on single or double occupancy. A full breakfast is served each morning to guests, and it is included in the room rate. When more than two individuals occupy a room (not applicable for children under 13 years old), we charge an additional fee of $20/person plus tax.

When potential guests are considering a stay at the Lang House, they find it helpful to remember that our breakfast fare is priced at $15 per person when an outside guest is invited to join an inn guest. As a matter of fact, we let guests know that they are welcome to invite a family member, friend or colleague to join them for breakfast.

Room rates vary throughout the year. Rates are posted in the description for each guestroom.

    Reservations

If you wish to make a reservation, you may do so by telephone or via the inn’s online booking engine. There is a convenience fee of $8.50 charged to reservations made via the booking engine. Please note that we are unable to hold a room without a firm commitment from the guest.

    Deposit

When a reservation is made, an advance deposit is required via credit card payment equal to one night of lodging fees (i.e., the quoted room rate plus 11% rooms and meals taxes). This advance deposit is applied to the total room charges. For example: For a three-night stay, we require an advance deposit equal to one night’s charges as noted above. When checking out, the guest will pay for the remaining two nights’ lodging fees as well as any additional expenses that were incurred during the stay.

    Cancellation Policy

In order to guarantee your reservation, we require a deposit of one night’s lodging plus taxes. If a reservation is cancelled 14 days prior to the guest’s scheduled arrival date, the deposit may be refunded. A 10% cancellation fee will be applied to help defray credit card processing fees.

If a cancellation is made 13 days or less before the reservation arrival date, then the advance deposit will be forfeited, unless the entire reservation is able to be rebooked. Depending on the circumstances for a cancellation, an advance deposit may be carried over and applied to a near-future reservation. There are some dates when the cancellation deadline may increase to 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date. Please contact us if you are unclear about our deposit and cancellation terms.

If a guest shortens a reserved stay after arrival at the Lang House, the guest will be responsible for any room nights that we are unable to rebook.

There will be no deposit refunds for weather-related cancellations.

Minimum Stays During Peak Season Months:

A two-night-minimum reservation is required on all weekends from June 1st through October 31st as well as for other National holiday weekends and some special event weekends.

    Inn Hours

    November – April 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

    May – October 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Late Arriving Guests: In order to provide access for late-arriving guests, those guests who anticipate arriving after the inn is closed and locked for the night should inform us as soon as possible.

    Check-In Time: 3:00 p.m.

    Check-Out Time: 11:00 a.m.

    Dietary Restrictions

If you have significant dietary restrictions (e.g., food allergies, gluten sensitivity, vegan preferences, etc.), please let us know in advance of your arrival date so that we can accommodate your needs. Our breakfast meats are always offered as an option, so vegetarians are accommodated daily.

    Beer and Wine

The Lang House has a beer and wine liquor license. By law, guests are not permitted to bring their own beer, wine or spirits to the inn. We carry a number of white, red and sparkling wines as well as local Vermont beers (see our Add Ons & Concierge Page).

    Non-Smoking Inn

The Lang House is a smoke-free inn. Guests who smoke in their rooms or in any other interior space on the property will be assessed a clean-up charge (minimum fee of $200).

    Children

Our philosophy is that we want our guests to feel as though our house is an extension of their house. We happily accommodate children. Well-behaved children are appreciated by both our guests and staff members!

    Pet Policy

Guests’ pets are not permitted at the inn. Guests who ignore this policy will be charged a clean-up fee.

    Bicycle Storage

We host a number of bicycle tour companies between May and October. Individual guests frequently travel with bicycles. From May through October, a large bicycle tent is erected at the back of the Lang House property for covered, safe storage of bicycles. Be sure to bring along your bicycle lock.
