Logan, located north of Ogden and within two hours of Salt Lake City, is a great place to visit. Stay at a Logan inn or B&A if you want to experience some of the best live opera in the state. The Utah Festival Opera Youth Symphony and Orchestra, which shows off talents of children in grades 6-9, holds performances year-round at the Dansante Building in Logan. Be sure to time your visit to coincide with the Sundance Film Festival. There are twelve theatres not far from Logan where films are screened and where stars are seen. But a word of caution: B&Bs tend to fill up quickly so reservations during the film festival period are needed far in advance. You can also see the Logan Canyon Scenic Byway -- a beautiful tour of rock formation -- the Logan River and other natural beauties. At the summit, you can see all 20 miles of magnificent Bear Lake. The Logan LDS Temple and neighboring tabernacle represent the heritage of the LDS church and is a tribute to Utah's early pioneers.
