Excelsior is a city in Hennepin County, and is home to many warm and inviting B&B establishments. The Hopkins Raspberry Festival is a local celebration of the tasty fruit with a parade, rides and food. The Renaissance Festival brings the middle ages back to the present day. If you are planning on attending any of these fun family events, then getting a room in advance at an Excelsior bed and breakfast or an Excelsior inn is the way to go. The Minnehaha Steamboat, a steamboat used for passenger travel on Lake Minnetonka near the turn of the century, was raised from the bottom of Lake Minnetonka, restored, and is now available for rides from the Excelsior port during the summer.
