    Located across from the beautiful St. John’s College in the heart of the Historic District of Annapolis, the 14-room Royal Folly was constructed in 1870 by the renowned Randall family. Recent major renovations are now complete, including security, fire alarm and sprinkler system, along with numerous internal and external changes- all while preserving the grandeur of the original structure. Modifications have been accomplished to complete the process of “casual elegance”- creating a very comfortable living environment with modern amenities and old-world charm. The inn features five very large guest rooms, including a three-room top floor suite.There are nine fireplaces, a rear patio with fountain, a deck with hot tub, library, front parlor, formal dining room, computer room with high speed wireless Internet and faxes available at no charge, and all suites have private bath (some with Jacuzzi), IPOD docking station, cable television with DVD. The exterior includes a deck that overlooks the lovely St. John's College. Another semi private deck features a hot tub. There is also a bricked courtyard, and a lovely shade garden with seating areas.  There is a Sunday champagne brunch with late checkout offered!

    The Ark & Dove is decorated with a Colonial and English flair. Oriental and braided rugs adorn original pine floors supporting antiques or period reproductions. Special touches such as baskets filled with toiletries, cushy terrycloth robes and chocolates are provided in each guest room. At breakfast time, guests serve themselves from the Sheraton sideboard laden with seasonal gourmet fare.
