Globe is a city in Gila County, Arizona. Its annual 3-day Gila County Gem \u0026 Mineral Show is held at the Gila County Fairgrounds, located three miles north of the intersection of Routes 60 \u0026 70. This popular show features unset stones as well as jewelry, lapidary equipment, books, tools, and mineral samples. The town also offers a Historic Home \u0026 Building Tour, along with its Antique and Quilt Show. Globe is home to some of the state's most historic structures, some dating back to the early 1900s. Its home tour includes a visit to the Pieces of Friendship Quilt Show and the annual Antique Show \u0026 Sale. The Elks Lodge building, "the tallest three-story building in the world\u201d (with really high ceilings on each floor), is now an antique store. The Gila Valley, Globe, and Northern Railway Station, built from 1910 to 1916, has now become a museum instead of the busy railway depot it once was. De Marco's Pizzeria \u0026 Italian Restaurant drew kudos from our entire party. The portions of its Italian food were really large and all the different dishes were fantastic. Irene's Real Mexican Food serves great food from south of the border. Cedar Hill B\u0026B is one of the lovely Globe bed and breakfast choices.
