Stockbridge is located in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. The Stockbridge Summer Arts and Crafts Show, in Berkshire Botanical Gardens, displays work of more than 90 jury-selected artists including paintings, ceramics, glass blowing, and more. This garden is one of the country's oldest horticultural centers. At the annual Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas, the street is transformed into one of Norman Rockwell's famous painting of the village during the holidays. It is decorated with wreaths, festive lightings, vintage cars parked in the spots occupied in the paintings. Ice Glen is a hiking spot with three trails, one of which leads you to Ice Glen, which is complete with glacial boulders and ice crystals even in summer. The Rockwell Museum has the world's largest collection of Norman Rockwell paintings. While there you can also see Rockwell's studio, which overlooks the Housatonic River. When you visit choose a Stockbridge bed and breakfast, Stockbridge B&B or Stockbridge inn for comfortable and nearby accommodations. As for dining, the Lions Den offers New England's finest cuisine. If you prefer French food, try From Ketchup to Caviar, on Main Street.
