South Fork Bed and Breakfasts

South Fork is located west of Del Norte at the junction of US highway 160 and State highway 149. Two annual events are the Little Britches Rodeo in June followed by the Logger Days Festival and Craft Show in July. Both attract many to stay at South Fork bed and breakfast facilities. There are scores of other sights to see, such as The Rio Grande River and the Rio Grande National Forest. This area offers many activities from fishing and hunting to viewing wildlife. Also the Wolf Creek Ski area boasts opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, and sledding. Settle into a South Fork B&B or South Fork inn to make your ski vacation complete. Likewise, many hikers and mountain bikers visit the area to explore the abundant trails during the warm weather months. Adventure-seekers can head about 75 miles outside of South Fork to experience The Great Sand Dunes and the Wheeler Geological area. Back in town, a couple of great restaurants have set up shop. First, The Chalet Swiss is known for tantalizing taste and spectacular views. Next is The Malt Shoppe, a good old-fashioned burger stand that offers outside dining at picnic tables or right from your car—a perfect stop after an outdoor adventure.
