Ingredients - Cake:
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2 cups sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup softened margarine
3 eggs
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup golden raisins, cut up
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
1 Tablespoon grated orange peel
Ingredients - Frosting:
1/3 cup softened margarine
3 cups powdered sugar
3 to 4 Tablespoons orange juice or orange liqueur
2 teaspoons grated orange peel
Combine cake ingredients and bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees.
Beat frosting ingredients together, using enough orange juice make the frosting spreadable.
