    Beautifully restored and lovingly appointed, the Mark Addy offers the richness and romance of a bygone era. Set atop a verdant knoll, the historic home of Dr. John C. Everett is surrounded by the magnificence of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the lovely Rockfish Valley.

    Many of Central Virginia's most popular natural and historic sites are within a short scenic drive. The Mark Addy is the perfect place to stay for a variety of vacation interests and activities, as well as a restful country escape for those seeking a romantic getaway or quiet contemplation.

    Conveniently located between the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and Thomas Jefferson's Charlottesville. Currently our dining room is open for breakfast and dinner for our guests and by reservation only for outsiders.     Charming rooms and luxurious suites offer elegant comfort, romantic privacy, and incredible views of the natural beauty of Nelson County.

    Our guests may enjoy the serenity and inspiring surroundings on our large furnished front porch, the hammocks, or the many peaceful spots on our thirteen acres.

    Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

    The Nelson 151 "Brew Ridge Trail" that inlcudes numerous local wineries, breweries, and cideries that serve dellicious food and tastings. We are also close to Wintergreen Mountain and The Blue Ridge Parkway. We are in reasonable distance from historic sites such as Monticello, Ashlawn, Montpelier, Poplar Forest, Bedford Veterans Memorial, Appomattox, etc.

    What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

    We have a casual atmospehere and friendly staff. Wonderful hosts and good food.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    The owners are fantastic hosts and we are in a great proximity to all the local breweries, wineries, orchards, and shops.

    If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

    Stop by all the wineries, breweries, cideries along Nelson 151 - there is so much to see and do at each one! Blue Ridge Parkway is a beautiful scenic drive with lots of stops to enjoy the overlooks. There are so many wonderful hiking spots in the area - our favorite is Crabtree Falls because who doesn't love hiking next to waterfalls?Historic Downtown Charlottesville and Monticello can take up a whole day all on it's own!

    Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    Beautiful sunset at the end of the road – one mile casual stroll

    What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

    Blue Mountain Brewery, Devils Backbone Brewing Company, Bold Rock Hard Cider, Basic Necessities, and the Blue Ridge Pig.

    We have 10 guest rooms each with private bathrooms and amenities. Some rooms also have exclusive access to a private or shared porch.

    Our most popular ceremony site is a landscaped peristyle with encircling mountain views. For smaller nuptials, a variety of other romantic spots throughout the property may be utilized. For your reception, our grounds can accommodate up to 250 people, or the interior can accommodate up to 50 people.
