New Hampshire Suite
This beautiful 2nd floor "suite" is a large room filling the entire north end of the house, with a vaulted ceiling and exposed wood beams, making it feel even more spacious. A beautiful mural of the rural countryside on the wall behind the butlers kitchen provides you with a view even after dark. The large north-facing windows look out on the rear lawn and wooded area and smaller east-facing windows under the eaves look down onto the rear garden. The "suite" contains a queen-sized sleigh bed with cast ivy insets and a full-sized sofa bed, providing sleeping for up to four people. You have a glass-front gas stove, TV/DVD, in-room phone, butlers kitchen with microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, and sink, and a garden table with two chairs. The en-suite bathroom was completely redone and enlarged in 2010 and features a two-person whirlpool tub and separate shower.
Green Mountain Suite
The only 1st floor guest room, this "suite" occupies the entire north end of the house. Renovated in 2009, this room has a Vermont-made quilt in rose and blue to match the wallpaper and lace curtains for the windows An east-facing picture window overlooks the backyard gardens and woods, which you can also enjoy from the private deck outside. You have a private entrance off the side porch and there is also a door to the back stairway leading into the rest of the house. The "suite" features a king-sized bed and queen-sized sofa bed, providing space for four people. You have a glass-front fireplace, TV/DVD, in-room phone, butlers kitchen with microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, and sink, and a table with four chairs. The spacious en-suite bathroom was has a two-person whirlpool tub and separate shower.
An east-facing room on the 2nd floor, this room's windows overlook the beautiful gardens and woods behind the inn. Decorated in rose-covered wallpaper and with Vermont made quilts, it can be configured to either two twin beds or a king-sized bed. With burgundy shades to darken the room well for those wanting to sleep in, it contains an oak dresser, TV/DVD, and small refrigerator. The spacious en-suite bathroom with a shower was renovated and enlarged in 2010.
Vermont Federal Room
A southeast corner room on the 2nd floor, this room's three windows offer outstanding views with the Green Mountains to the south and the beautiful gardens and woods to the east. This room is the most formally furnished, with its beautiful queen-sized canopied rice bed with a Vermont-made quilt, antique chest of drawers, floral rug, TV/DVD and old wide plank spruce floors. It has a en-suite bathroom with shower.
New York Room
A northwest corner room on the 2nd floor, this room exudes the calm feeling of a garden. Two large windows provide light and air, the west one looking out on the neighbor's woods and the mountains beyond. This room contains a queen-sized bed with a Vermont-made quilt, antique oak armoire, mahogany dresser, TV/DVD, en-suite bathroom with shower and old wide-plank spruce floors.
Quebec Country Room
A southwest corner room on the 2nd floor, three windows fill this room with sunlight and offer outstanding views of the Green Mountains. This blue and white room is bright and cheerful. It contains a queen-sized quilt-covered four-poster bed, oak chest of drawers and wardrobe, TVDVD, and an en-suite bathroom with shower. Old wide plank spruce floors and an oriental rug lend warmth to the room.
Rooms & Amenities
Each of the four guest rooms and two one-room suites is individually decorated, with many antique furnishings. All rooms have private en-suite baths and views of the Green Mountains, woods and gardens, or both. Our suites (one on the ground floor with a private entrance) have whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, and butlers kitchens.
All rooms have hair dryers and irons & ironing boards.
Early morning coffee is provided in the hall for the four guestrooms for those who like a cup when they first get up. The suites each have their own coffeemaker.
Robes are provided for our guests.
All rooms except the Vermont Federal have ceiling fans.
All rooms have air-conditioning during the warmer months and individual thermostats for heat during the cooler months.
Digital radio/alarm clocks, some with CD players, are provided in each room. A CD collection is available in the Parlor, or bring your own!
Complimentary bottled water is available. Guests are welcome to bring their own wine, beer, or champagne. We have corkscrews and wine glasses for you to use.
A telephone is available for local and toll-free calls. Bring a phone card if you need to make long distance calls, as not all cell phones can get a signal here. AT&T and Verizon provide cell phone service in the local area.
A computer with free high-speed internet access is available for guests needing to stay connected. Wireless internet is also available throughout the inn.
A large library of DVDs is located in the Parlor.
