The wrap-around front porch, upstairs sleeping porch, seven fireplaces with their original mantlepieces, stained glass windows and heart pine floors are some of the original details that are still in use. A blend of historic charm plus WIFI, cable TV, AC and central climate control produce comfortable, well-appointed rooms for our guests.
Enjoy a good night's sleep and awake to the smell of fresh-brewed coffee. After a hearty Southern breakfast take a short stroll past lovely historic homes to the bustling Riverwalk restaurants and stores. Browse through antique shops, art galleries and other unique stores of the Historic District. If the beach is your destination, we are a short drive to some of the best seashore in the U.S., including Wrightsville, Kure, Carolina, and Fort Fisher beaches

Foyer, Dining Room and Parlor Pictures
The restored interior features a beautiful original hand carved staircase and foyer, original North Carolina heartpine floors, 10 foot ceilings, original wainscotting and trim and 7 fireplaces - some with original mantles.
The beautifully detailed home has been restored almost to the original layout and has been furnished with unique pieces found in local galleries and antique shops. Each room has its own unique appeal accented by interesting prints or original artwork.
How to Find Us
From the south (Hwy. 74-76-17): after crossing the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge bear left to downtown. Turn left onto Third Street. Proceed Six blocks to Orange Street. Turn right and go to the corner of Sixth Street. Blue Heaven is the fifth house on the left; 517 Orange Street.
From the north or west: Take I-40 to Hwy. 17 (Market Street) south into the Historic District. Turn left onto Sixth Street. Proceed two blocks to Orange Street. The house is on the right corner, 517 Orange Street.
