  • More About Sweet Biscuit Inn

    Sweet Biscuit Inn, dining area

The Sweet Biscuit Inn features 11-foot ceilings, tiger oak wood floors, a dramatic formal staircase, a stunning ceiling-high library and a relaxing front porch, ideal for watching the neighborhood walk by.

Four of the Sweet Biscuit Inn guest rooms and the Carriage House bedrooms feature queen beds, three offer king beds. They all have private full baths with antique tubs or Europeans showers, HD cable television with flat-screens TVs, air conditioning and wireless Internet access. A clever combination of antiques and family heirlooms were selected to give each room comfort, elegance and a familiar appeal. Most of the rooms are unusually spacious; it is your hosts' credo that you, the guests, should have the space to breathe and expand.

Mornings at the Sweet Biscuit Inn are Chef Claudia's prime time: She puts all her culinary skills acquired over nine years of cooking in Provence into preparing sumptuous three-course gourmet breakfasts. Do not expect the ordinary, but always an authentic French course. When was the last time you had breakfast dessert?

The grounds of Sweet Biscuit Inn include many shade gardens, an inviting front porch, multiple beds of annual and perennial gardens, as well as an imaginative playground. That is just a subtle indication that our Bed and Breakfast welcomes children too.

  • Gourmet Breakfast and Restaurants

Everything we serve is fresh and homemade, whenever possible prepared from local and organic ingredients. Asheville is rightfully named “food-lovers’ town”, so this is the place to be if you care for culinary delights—particularly when they are prepared by a France-trained chef. Our full-fledged 3-course gourmet breakfasts comprise a selection of: A fresh seasonal fruit starter, comforting spread of warm oven baked goods; Crêpes from our authentic French crêpes maker; Muffins, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, scones; A creative egg dish as main course, well beyond just the ordinary scrambled eggs (which you will find too). Jams and butters are waiting for you to sit down. Freshly-brewed real Italian Lavazza coffee—drip or espresso—, classic or herbal teas, and plenty of fresh orange juice are poured each morning.

The specialty of the house: Your hosts respect their guests’ dietary needs and restrictions and adjust the breakfast offering accordingly as much as possible. Just let us know in advance. We ask for your understanding that some (extreme) dietary requests may be beyond our capacity to provide.

At the Sweet Biscuit Inn we love to serve breakfast on our colorful Fiestaware dishes. Candles are lit and unobtrusive music will set the stage, from mostly classical—our passion—to international jazzy swing. Our breakfasts have been known to last, or they can end quickly to get you out of the door and on your way for the day's adventure ahead. You set Sweet Biscuit Inn, restaurants & bars the pace. We have always had an interesting group to chat with, and we welcome you to the conversation.

To assit you in navigating Ashevilles eclectic food scene, we will help you choose a restaurant and make your reservations. What are you in the mood for? Italian, Mediterranean, Thai, All=-American or Southern? Family friendly or romantic or fun? Asheville is known for variety and quality in our dining scene. We will share our favorites and listen to your preferences. We eat there, before we send you there.
