What’s the best kept secret about the area?

Frenchtown itself, being a one square mile riverside community with approximately 1200 residents. This is about as small town as you can get and a rapidly disappearing way of life with independently owned shops and restaurants. An artisan community thrives here including authors, painters, jewelry designers and many others. The town’s motto is 'Frenchtown, the secret beside the river.'

If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

The area has much to offer. They could chose to experience a hot air balloon ride over the countryside, enjoy river sports such as river tubing, kayaking or canoeing or go horseback riding around the lake are just a few examples. If they are not outdoorsy by nature, shopping, dining and antiquing are all close at hand. The B & B is located in the heart of the NJ/PA wine trail with several wineries offering tours and tastings. In addition, farmers markets, museums and theater are readily available.

Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

Yes. Shopping, dining, river sports, bike rentals, hiking and more are all within walking distance.

What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

Boy, that’s a tough one since there are many fine establishments to choose from. We have a dining guide on our website for travelers to view, plus we are always happy to offer suggestions based on our personal favorites or if someone is looking for something specific. Many traditional and ethnic dining options are locally available ranging from casual to four star.

Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?

Yes, we have many area guides and websites listed that guests can view on our site.
