    Wake up to the birds singing and sun shining after enjoying a restful night's sleep to savor a leisurely cooked to order breakfast in the porch dining room. Chesterfiled Inn is also home to one of the most romantic NH restaurants serving dinner nightly in the romantic candlelit dining room.. Food is an important part of the warm hospitality that is offered at this lovely New Hampshire inn and restaurant. The parlor, dining rooms, and terrace have exceptional views of the back meadow and the rolling hills beyond. The terrace, surrounded by perennial gardens and crab apple trees, is a wonderful place to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner.

    Chesterfield Inn frontOur guest rooms are all appointed with your comfort in mind, with king beds and fireplaces, or if you wish, a whirlpool tub. We also have pet friendly rooms, if you'd like to bring along your dog or cat.

    This lovely Brattleboro bed and breakfast is situated on 10 picturesque acres of land, mostly landscaped into gardens and designed by renowned landscape architect Gordon Hayward. Over the years this beautiful landscaping has created scenery that ties the gardens to the buildings in a natural way, providing the inn's intimacy to nature and its tranquil, restful setting.

    We are known for great food and personal service. Our inn is unique because of the relaxed ambiance, our connection with the outdoors, and our pet friendly environment. We love our friendly staff, delicious food, large comfortable rooms, New England feel, and beautiful surroundings.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    Hiking, small town life, food, the arts community in Brattleboro, VT are all reasons to visit.

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    Our inn is welcoming and feels like home.

    Pisgah Park, a 14,000 acre park in Chesterfield, Madame Sherri's Forest, Great hiking and snow shoeing near the inn.

    A traveler could go hiking, go antiquing, visit Keene and Brattleboro, visit historic Deerfield, visit Hildene, visit St. Gaudens, and climb Mount Monadnock.

    We're all animal lovers here, and we're delighted to welcome you and your pets to our pet friendly New Hampshire Inn!

    We reserve the rooms that are outside the main inn for pet owners and their furry friends, for easy access to our back yard. We just ask that you crate your dogs if you leave the room, and that you pick up after them while on our grounds. .

    Chesterfield is ideal for access to outdoor activities for all seasons in Vermont, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.


    • On the roads or in the woods, we can suggest routes for you. Or visit one of our local bike shops to get the last word from the biking authorities: Burrows Specialized Sports, West Hill Shop.


    • Chesterfield: There are many places to hike nearby. Our favorite is Pisgah Park, which is a 14,000-acre park in Chesterfield and neighboring towns. We also recommend the Ann Stokes Loop as well as Chesterfield Gorge, both in Chesterfield.
    • Mount Monadnock: If you'd like to climb the most climbed mountain on the East Coast, Mount Monadnock in Jaffrey, NH is a short 45-minute drive from the inn. On a clear day you can see Boston from the summit.


    • Rent a canoe or kayak and take a paddle on the Connecticut or West Rivers in Brattleboro, Vermont. Vermont Canoe Touring Center


    • Spofford Lake: You can swim nearby at Ware's Beach or the North Shore Beach for a nominal fee.
