Located 10 miles south of the Memphis, Tennessee line, and 14 miles from Graceland. We enjoy a peaceful country setting. This lovely English Tudor home, built in 1985, has a seasonal indoor pool and local restaurants are just a mile away. This could be your "haven away from daily cares."
At the Main House we have three attractive Guest Rooms each with a queen size bed, private bath, cable TV, VCR, DVD, CD players, robes and all the amenities of home. Their unique motifs are designed for your comfort. Two Guest Rooms overlook the seasonal indoor pool, a third has skylights to enjoy a celestial view. Each Guest Room also has a sconvenient small refrigerator.

Our nightly rates include a full breakfast. The typical breakfast for each of you includes coffee or tea, orange, apple or cranberry juice, a bowl with fresh grapes over granola, vanilla flavored yogurt and other fresh fruit. We're a peaceful and romantic B & B in a wonderful southern town, but within a half hour of so many lively attractions like Graceland, Memphis Beale Street Entertainment District, Sun Studio, the Rock n Soul Museum, STAX Museum of American Soul Music, Memphis Zoo, many Museums, the Tunica Casinos, Mississippi River Museums, horse drawn carriage rides, great restaurants, so many things to see and do. People love the Inn's quiet secluded atmosphere to relax, enjoy each other's company and rejuvenate at the Sassafras Inn.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
We are best known for the tranquil and romantic atmosphere, plentiful breakfasts, attractions nearby, seasonal indoor swimming pool, personal service, attention to details, and my love for providing service to each guest as I consider this a blessing. As a member of the Memphis Blues Association and being one who plays guitar and is knowledgeable of the Memphis music scene and history of the area, I help our guests with ways they can get the most of their time here by offering suggestions that match their individual interests. Our location is ideal for all of this.

I've been blessed with many people who take the time to review Sassafras Inn and stay in touch with me. The comfort of each guest is very important to me and I'm always glad to hear from them.
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
Our location is ideal for staying in a small town with southern charm and has quick access to so many big city attractions.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
Enjoy a full country breakfast each morning, and I can personally suggest a list of local attractions, activities and eateries for each day depending on the guest's personal interests.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
We are on an acre and a half with tall oak shade trees and set well back from the road, but right across the street is an entrance to a nice neighborhood that is a great place to go for a long walk, enjoy the neighborhood and fresh air.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
The area is famous for barbecue and southern cooking, with those and many other cuisines available within a short drive. Many have been featured on the Food Network for their unique and tasty attributes. Our historic Hernando Town Square has great restaurants and the Velvet Cream is a special treat with a family owned history since 1947.

Sorry, no pets and no smoking for the mutual comfort of our guests. We also do not have children as guests.
