The Cherry Capital offers something for everyone!

    We look forward to welcoming you to our B&B. With backgrounds in education, music, and health services, we're very people-oriented. We enjoy travel, books, music, and nature. As both residents and avid fans of the Traverse City area, we would be happy to share our favorite spots with you!

    Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

    Because of our ideal location just minutes away from downtown of Traverse City.

    What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

    Our breakfast is a little bit unique with a German touch, our B&B is a log home and fits perfect to the True North.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    The Sleeping Bear Dunes and the endless sandy beaches.

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    "If I would have a million dollars I would buy your home immediately." 

    What’s the best kept secret about the area?

    Great beaches, Dunes, Film Festival in August, National Cherry Festival in July.

    If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

    Visit the numerous Wineries, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, playing Golf, Hiking, visit Lighthouses, Biking, Shopping in Traverse City in unique shops, visit a Museum.

    Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    No, but Hiking Trails and a Golf courses is just 5 minutes away, also Downtown TC you can reach within 5 minutes.

    What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

    There are a lot of very good restaurants in the area; difficult to choose one as the best.

    How many rooms does your inn have?

    We have 3 spacious rooms, each with a full bath.

    Do you accept pets?

    No pets, dog boarding is 2 minutes away.

  • General Information

    Wind In The Pines Bed & Breakfast-Back ViewOur B&B is a log home and was constructed and built as a B&B. There is enough privacy for the guests and the innkeeper. The B&B is nestled in 6 acres of pines but just 5 minutes away from downtown of Traverse City. We have a nice garden with A patio and a gazebo exclusively for our guests. The whole area is a bird sanctuary, very peaceful and the right place for relaxation.

    Two of our rooms have a separate entrance and all of our rooms have an "en suite" bath. The common living/dining room has a Fireplace, a refrigerator and complimentary hot/cold beverages. Of course, each room is equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player, hair dryer and we also offer free WI-FI. Kids of all ages are welcome. We are a 100% smoke free environment and a certified Wildlife Habitat. Our location at the base of the Leelanau Peninsula, provides easy access to the entire Grand Traverse region, so our Guests can experience all the area has to offer all year long.

    1. From downtown Traverse City, follow M-72 west (it turns away from the bay and heads
    2. west towards Empire and Lake Michigan)
    3. Stay on M-72 past the light at Bugai/Gray Roads
    4. Just past the traffic light, turn right on Harry's Road
    5. Follow Harry's Road for 1.2 miles
    6. When you come to Gallagher Road, turn left
    7. The driveway is the first one on your left
