Mendon is in southwest Michigan, along the St. Joseph River, and is home to many fine B&B establishments. Mendon is best known for its annual Riverfest, an arts and crafts festival themed around the village's proximity to the St. Joseph River. Mendon is known for its St. Joseph Grange County Fair, held in the last week of September. The fair features arts, crafts, and agricultural judging. Mendon is close to the famous Arrowhead Cove relaxation gardens. Mendon is also home to the Mendon Country Inn, the traditional halfway point between Chicago and Detroit. If you want to experience some of Mendon's other famous hotels and inns, spend a night in the Mendon bed and breakfast or a Mendon inn. The 1873 Wakeman House Dining Room is a period-authentic dining room at reasonable rates. A rustic nineteenth century building rehabbed by local Amish craftsmen, Bistro Rio's interior features local art work in an intimate setting, with a main dining room on the first floor and private dining rooms below.
