Last year, hundreds of people visited lighthouses along the Maine coast in the largest effort of its kind in the nation. This year we expect another fun family event. The partnership with the Coast Guard, State of Maine and American Lighthouse Foundation is intended to increase awareness of Maine’s maritime heritage and the rich history of its lighthouses and lighthouse keepers. We are 30 minutes from Pemaquid Point Light House, it is a beautiful drive, and a great place to get lobster is on the way home. Come see us and enjoy the beauty of September in Maine.

The flowers have been abundant and the garden has already given us asparagus, greens, peas, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, cherries, zuchini, kale, brocoli, and herbs. The corn, tomatoes, squash, pumkins, and apples for pies and cider are to come We have enjoyed sailing and taking guest sailing. Our canoe and kayaks have gotten alot of use. We will be having our third guest wedding at the inn in October and we're looking forward to getting the gardens ready for a fall wedding.
