Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

Guests love the location of our property. We host mostly leisure travelers, many of them visiting nearby Augustana College.

What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

Guests know us for our delicious breakfasts! The view from our inn is quite unique. You can see Rock Island, Davenport and the Mississippi River from our inn at the top of hill. We love this inn because it is our home.

If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

The #1 reason to visit the area is The John Deere Pavillion. They offer a fabulous museum, factory tours, a historical site and of course, a shop where you can get plenty of John Deere memorabilia. The Rock Island Arsenal also attracts visitors to the area.

What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

We love compliments, but the best ones are when we hear how beautiful the home is. We offer a comfortable prairie style B&B that guests adore.

What’s the best kept secret about the area?

The best kept secret about this area is just how friendly everyone is. There's also plenty to do, including museums, restaurants, shopping, and plenty of theater entertainment.

If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

We suggest that guests visit The Rock Island Arsenal and The John Deere Pavillion while they are here. We also suggest that travelers take some time and visit The Butterworth Center & Deere-Wiman House in Moline. Free tours are offered for these beautiful and historic homes once belonging to John Deere’s descendants. The Blackhawk Indian Museum is great for history buffs, though we do suggest that visitors check their website for hours of operation. There are several casinos in the area and many of our guests enjoy visiting the Circa 21 Dinner Playhouse for a live show. With three colleges in the area there's no shortage of recitals, plays, and live music events to be had.

Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

We are right across the street from a lovely park with a walking trail, disc golf, a water slide, and a picnic area. There are some fast food restaurants close by as well as a jogging and bike trail.

What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

The Captain's Table in Moline is my favorite restaurant. It's located on the river and serves up my favorite dish, Honey Glazed Salmon.

Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?

We always have the most recent copy of The Showcase. This publication offers a map of area, points of interest, and restaurants. The publication changes constantly but updated copies are delivered right to our door whenever it changes.
