Kapa'a, Hawaii is located on the northern shore of Kauai, and is home to many homey B&B establishments. A popular local event in Kapaa is one of the many slack key guitar and ukulele concerts at the Kauai Community Center. Every February there is a local hula recital named Leilani's Hula Hoike which features local artists as well as art and food for sale. If you are considering attending any of these fun family events you should consider booking a reservation at a Kapaa bed and breakfast or a Kapaa inn. One very popular attraction in Kapaa is the Sleeping Giant Mountain on the eastern shore. Named so because it appears to be just that. The Wyland Gallery is a local art exhibit off of the Kuhio highway that exhibits the work of the famed artist Wyland and his undersea depictions. The Olympic Cafe is known around Kapaa for its authentic Hawaiian food such as the kalua pig quesadilla.
