    A great bed and breakfast in Washington DC is found in two charming Victorian townhouses on the tree lined streets at the heart of Woodley Park.

    The Kalorama Guest House Bed and Breakfast DC is one block from several different restaurants, night spots, and antique shops, two blocks from the entrance of Rock Creek Park, a few blocks from the Washington National Zoo, a short walk from a neighborhood of early twentieth century row homes and, in the opposite direction, the fashionable stores of modern Connecticut Avenue.

    Also a brief walk away is the Woodley Park/ Zoo station of the underground Metro, which gives guests easy access to downtown as well as anywhere else in the city.

    At the Kalorama Guest House, innkeepers live on the grounds all year so that they are able to better serve you and ensure that you are welcomed and settled from the moment you arrive.

    A deluxe continental breakfast is served Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 10:00AM and Saturday through Sunday from 8:00AM to 10:30AM alongside a morning newspaper. Cookies and lemonade are provided in the afternoon and, in the evening, sherry is available.

    Wireless Internet is available throughout the house as well as a laundry facility, refrigerator, and microwave.

    Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

    We have been serving guests for the last 31 years. We are close to everything.

    What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

    People know us for our attentive staff, we are 2 blocks from Marriott & Omni hotel, and 2 blocks from Metro station.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    The #1 reason to visit the area is for the free museums, beautiful city, and large varieties of restaurants.

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    The best compliment we receive is when someoe says it "Feels like home away from home."

    What’s the best kept secret about the area?

    This area is aboslutely beautiful, the people are friendly and the food is great.

    If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

    Though staying for more than a weekend should try to visit our zoo which is two blocks away. Rock Creek park entrance is also two blocks away. We suggest travelers bring running shoes if they enjoy exercise. This is the fittest city in the country.

    Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    There is plenty within walking distance including the national zoo, restaurants, The Marriott, The Omni, Metro, Rock Creek Park, and Adams Morgan.

    What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

    There are a lot of great restaurants, we really enjoy Lebanese Taverna and Afghan Grill.

    Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?

    The Charleston website is a great resource.

    We have 10 rooms.

    Street parking is limited and timed at a maximum of 2 hours. Parking is closely monitored. Parking requires a reservation at the time of booking. The cost is $20 plus 18% parking tax. Marriott parking is $42 per night. Colonial parking is $20 per day plus taxes. All parking facilities are within 2 blocks away.
