Vista, California is located in the northern part of San Diego County. Each Saturday, the Vista Farmers Market is held from 7:45 am - 11:00 am, at the North County Regional Center. It features more than 50 vendors offering farm-fresh produce, arts and crafts, and assorted foods. Vista is home to the Wave Waterpark, the only family aquatic center in North San Diego County. The Moonlight Amphitheatre and the Avo Playhouse draw thousands of visitors each year to award-winning productions that have made Vista a cultural hub. The city also boasts the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum, an open-air museum featuring various exhibits and demonstrations of agricultural equipment from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The Museum's collection focuses on the period from 1849-1950, extensively covering agriculture, construction and early industrial trades. Each December, the North County Transit District here runs a very special holiday-themed train called Santa\u2019s COASTER Express, with an appearance by Mrs. Claus and Santa himself. La Paloma restaurant, situated in a business center bordering the Vista Adobe and Wildwood park, has a nice open air patio overlooking the park as well as traditional Spanish decor.
