4Perfect for a crisp Autumn morning, this warm fruit dish offers just the right amount of ginger to get you started on the day.
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Cut pears length wise in half. Using a melon baller remove seeds, leaving a rounded indention in pear half. Arrange pear halves close together in a baking dish cut side up.
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, lemon juice and pecans. Spoon into pear halves indentions. Sprinkle lightly with ground ginger. Pour pear juice around pears to cover bottom of baking dish.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Garnish with crystallized ginger and serve warm.
