Three-Grain Cinnamon Granola

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup rolled barley or rolled wheat flakes
  • 1 cup rolled rye
  • 2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup raw wheat germ
  • 1/2 cup unsalted hulled sunflower seeds
  • 1 tbs ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup golden raisins


Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. In a 13x9 inch baking pan, combine:

oats, barley or wheat flakes, and rolled rye flakes

Bake, stirring frequently, until toasted, about 15 minutes. Stir in:

walnuts, wheat germ and sunflower seeds

Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool slightly, then stir in: cinnamon

Heat, stirring, until blended: honey, vegetable oil and vanilla

Add to the dry ingredients and stir until well coated. Bake stirring frequently, for 10 minutes. Stir in:

golden raisins

Let cool. Store in a tightly sealed container.
