Delicious Drop Scones

12 scones
Preheat oven to 425 degrees

2 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 stick unsalted butter
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/3 cup raisins
1/2 cup milk and 1large egg--beaten

Mix dry ingredients.
Cut in butter until fine crumbs (food processor is best).
Add dried fruit.
Mix egg mixture with dry ingredients with fork until moistened.
Drop 12 heaping spoonfuls 2" apart.
Sprinkle with 1 T sugar.
Bake on greased sheet for 13 minutes or until golden.
