Brooke's Super Brownies

These brownies are so moist and delicious; it is our "go to" recipe when needing a dessert that feeds a lot of people. This page in our recipe book is so splattered, worn and almost falling out of the book. Once you taste these brownies, you will know why:)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1-16 oz. can Hershey's chocolate syrup
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and chocolate syrup. Add dry ingredients. Beat until blended; stir in nuts if desired. Spread on prepared 10 x 14 sheet pan. Bake at 350

degrees for 20-25 minutes.

 

Chocolate Fudge Frosting:

 

3 T. melted butter

2 T. cocoa

1 tsp. vanilla

1 1 /2 c. powdered sugar

2 T. milk

 

Melt butter and cocoa (stirring as butter is melting), remove from stove and add the rest of the ingredients-- electric mixer works best to mix together. Add more milk and powdered sugar to suit your desired froting consistency. We gently frost the brownies when they are still very warm using a wide frosting knife.
