Vermont Maple Muffins

12 muffinsIngredients
- 3/4 cup bran
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup Maple syrup
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1-1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
Combine all muffin ingredients. Stir just until moistened. Spoon into 12 muffin cups (paper lined).
Bake at 400 degrees 18 to 20 minutes.
Glaze:
1-1/2 Tablespoons margarine
3/4 cup confectioner's sugar
1-1/2 teaspoon maple syrup
Combine ingredients, stirring to blend and spread over warm muffins.
