Southern Pecan Pie




3 eggs, slightly beaten
2 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup dark Karo syrup
1 cup pecans, chopped
3/4 cup cup sugar
1 unbaked 9" deep dish pie shell
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons melted butter/margarine


Combine eggs & syrup, mix well. Add sugar, mix thoroughly. Stir in salt & vanilla. Stir melted butter into syrup mix. Pour into shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until center doesn't jiggle. Cover crust with foil for the first 30 minutes of baking.
