  • 4 whole eggs
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 ½ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 2 tbls. Sugar
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg (optional)


These are light and fluffy sour cream pancakes with a hint of nutmeg. They are a Darby Field original and are loved by our guests and staff alike!

Combine wet ingredients in one bowl and sift dry together in another. Lightly mix dry ingredients into wet. Let set for 2 to 3 minutes, and then pour on a hot griddle or heavy weight frying pan in 3-4 inch circles. Flip when bubbles appear on the top, and brown the other side. Serve with maple syrup or your favorite jam. Enjoy!
