Baked Egg Custard with Gruyere and Chives



  • 2 Cups Coarsely Grated Gruyere cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Chives
  • 10 Eggs
  • 1.5 Cups Whole Milk
  • 4 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/4t Grated Nutmeg


1.Sprinkle Gruyere and chives evenly into buttered shallow baking dish
2.Blend eggs, milk, cream cheese, and nutmeg in blender with 1/2t pepper and 1/4t salt till smooth. Pour over Gruyere and chives and bake until puffed, set, and golden-350F for 35-45 minutes. Serve warm or at room temp.
