Toasts with Creamy Goat Cheese
From BROOKHILL BED AND BREAKFAST
Ingredients:
12 slices of sourdough or other hearty bread Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Put bread slices on baking sheet and coat with olive oil and bake until very light golden brown, about 5 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Put goat cheese in bowl and break up with a spoon. Stir in the lemon juice, salt and pepper. Gradually work in the cream. This mixture can be made a day ahead and kept well covered in the refrigerator. Serve the cheese with a butter knife and let people spread their own bread. |
