Joyce's Macadamia Waffles

From BRIERLEY HILL BED AND BREAKFAST
Serves 12
3 Eggs, separated
1 1/2 Cups buttermilk
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 Cup butter, melted
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 Cup sour cream
1/4 Cup sugar
1/2 Cup chopped nuts (pecan, macadamia, etc)
2 Cups all-purpose flour

In a medium bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff. Set aside. In a large bowl beat the remaining ingredients together. Fold in the egg whites.

May be prepared the night before and refrigerated.

Pour into a hot waffle iron that has been greased and bake. Serve waffles with fresh fruit and whipped cream.
