Breakfast Casserole RecipeFrom BLUE ROCK BED & BREAKFAST
Switch it up on your favorite meats and/or vegtables.
Cook about ¾ pound sausage and dice into small pieces
Note: Bacon or ham can be substituted for sausage
Grease a 9 X 13 inch pan.
Break 8 – 10 slices of bread into small chunks
Stir 8 – 10 eggs in a bowl and stir in 2 cups of milk
Layer the following ingredients in order:
On the bottom, spread chunks of bread evenly over the pan.
Cover bread with pieces of cooked sausage (or a variation could be ham)
Layer grated white American (or cheddar) cheese (approx. 1 cup)
Pour the egg and milk mixture evenly over the entire pan
Cover pan with foil or lid and place in refrigerator for several hours (overnight is best)
Bake for about 55 minutes at 350 degrees.
