Bourbon Sauce

- 1 cup sugar
- 6Tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp baking soda, stirred into buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp white corn syrup
- 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey
Directions
Mix all ingredients together, except bourbon, in a saucepan. Bring to boil, boil for 1 minute. Allow to cool a bit, then add bourbon. Spoon warm sauce over warm bread pudding.
