Homestyle Banana Bread
From ALLAIRE TIMBERS INNCooking Time:
1 hour
Ingredients
- 3 or 4 over-ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Dash salt
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- (optional) crushed walnuts to taste
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and mashed bananas
3. Stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla
4. Add baking soda and salt
5. Mix in flour
6. Butter a loaf pan and add batter
7. Bake one hour
8. Cool and serve!
