Donna's Hummus
From THE ADDISON ON AMELIAIngredients
- 16 oz can of Chick Peas, drained (Keep the liquid as you will use about 2/3 of the can in the hummus)
- 2 Tbsp sesame tahini
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon
- 1 Tsp salt
- 1 Tsp pepper
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 Tsp Cumin
- 1/4 sliced red pepper
- Parsley
Directions
In a blender, combine chick peas & liquid & tahini. Add the lemon juice, salt, pepper & garlic and blend until smooth.
Spoon hummus onto a plate and drizzle olive oil around edges. Garnish with cayenne pepper, cumin, parsley, and sliced peppers. Served with grilled pita.
