Donna's Hummus

From THE ADDISON ON AMELIA

Ingredients

  • 16 oz can of Chick Peas, drained (Keep the liquid as you will use about 2/3 of the can in the hummus)
  • 2 Tbsp sesame tahini
  •   Juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 1 Tsp pepper
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tsp Cumin
  • 1/4 sliced red pepper
  •   Parsley

Directions

In a blender, combine chick peas & liquid & tahini. Add the lemon juice, salt, pepper & garlic and blend until smooth.

Spoon hummus onto a plate and drizzle olive oil around edges. Garnish with cayenne pepper, cumin, parsley, and sliced peppers. Served with grilled pita.
