As autumn is approaching the air is crisp in the early  morning and evening. The turkeys are feeding in the pastures and the deer come out of the forest to graze at dusk. As the days grow shorter the air is ripe with the scent of freshly havested hay as the local farmers are busy making the last cut before winter.

The lazy days of summer have yielded to the desire for outdoor activities: Hiking the Withlacoochee State Trail, Biking the 46 mile Rails to Trails or the off-road forest trails, horseback rides through the Withlacoochee State Forest, canoeing on the Withlacoochee River ("One of the ten coolest places in North America").

Autumn also brings the Bushnell Fall Festival, varoius church harvest festivals and new life to the famous Webster Flea Market.
