Branson September Festivals and Events

Cameron pic for blog.JPGWe are beginning to feel that nip in the air that hints of cooler temperatures, changing hues on the hills, and the advent of autumn festivals in Branson.

September 8-11 is the 26th Annual Fall Bob Walsh Memorial Fiddler's Convention. Open to the public at no charge, this event is a wonderful opportunity to hear some great fiddle music.

September 10 to October 29 is the National Harvest Festival at Silver Dollar City  when the nationally recognized theme park hosts hundreds of demonstrating crafters and artists. The "Best of Missouri Hands" juried artists represent the highest level of Missouri craft traditions from painting and drawing to sculpture, pottery, jewelry making, weaving and more.  The festival also includes a "Made in Missouri" Juried Exhibition and Sale, Turning Wood Into Art Showcase, Missouri's Largest Barn Dance, the award-winning musical production "Headin' West", Silver Dollar City's Culinary & Craft School and much more.

The 38th Annual Autumn Daze Arts & Crafts Festival in Historic Downtown Branson is September 15-18. This free event features a wide spectrum of crafts with nearly 200 vendors, entertainment, street dances, celebrity autographs, and more. And on September 18, 2011, over 1,000 athletes will compete in the K-Swiss Ironman 70.3 Branson. The course of this triathlon event includes a 1.2 mile swim in Table Rock Lake followed by a 56 mile bicycle ride and a 13.1 mile run through downtown Branson ending on the Branson Landing. There are several areas along the route to watch the race and cheer on the athletes.

And September 24 & 25 is Branson Landing's Artisan's Market, BBQ, Music & More showcasing handmade crafts, works of art, live music, and great local BBQ! This weekend celebration is coordinated with a fund raiser for the local YMCA.

These are only a few of the upcoming events in Branson. Check the Area Information page of our website for more details.
