This amazing National Parkway, part of the Appalachian Mountains, offers 469 miles of fabulous views of cascading waters and lakes, magnificent foliage and great cultural heritage. Historic Sidna Allen Home

Back in 1912, this home was that of the convicted shooter of the local courthouse by the name of Sidna Allen. This house was designed by Sidna and his wife, with Sidna even assisting in its construction. Because Sidna was convicted not long after the home was finished, they only got to live in it for a short time. In 1974, this beautiful home was registered as a Historic Place. At present, this historic house can only be viewed from the outside on Route 52, but is surely worth viewing even from the exterior.

Visitors should turn right onto U.S. Route 52 in order to visit this 250-acre area of natural resources located in Fancy Gap, from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Then after the overpass, the Old Appalachian Trail should be followed. Later, there will be Cemetary Road. The entry area of Devil's Den can be distinguished by its marking of 50-foot huge rocks. This old cave sits on the edge of a mountain with an unbelievable drop to the bottom. Devil's Den Nature Preserve is a great place to visit while enjoying your stay at a Fancy Gap bed and breakfast.

At Milepost 204 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, sits a 100-year old home and store, a farm magnificently adorned by creeks. This farm area is a pleasure to visit all year round. Visitors can view the pastures of gentle and soft alpacas. Local handmade items and other items imported from Peru are offered at the farm store. The alpaca yarn itself can also be purchased. In addition, fiber art classes are available here.

Bluemont Presbyterian Rock Church

The Bluemont Presbyterian Rock Church is the largest of all of the six rock churches, and is an attraction for the area. Tours are not currently offered, but guests and locals are more than welcome to attend a church service on Sundays at 10:30 in the morning, with Sunday school normally beginning at 10:00 am.
