Lititz Spring Park
P.O. Box 110
Lititz, PA 17543
(717) 626-7960

For a relaxing stroll through one of the area's oldest public parks, BBOnline recommends spending a day it the Lititz Spring Park. Lititz Spring Park is owned technically by a group of Moravian churches, but is free and open to the public. For more than 200 years the church group maintained and kept the park active for all local residents to use at their leisure. As time passed and the size of the town grew, the burden of maintenance became too heavy for the small congregation. In 1956 the town of Lititz took over the maintenance of the park, although ownership still stayed with the churches. Today the park is beautifully maintained without use of tax money. Funds are raised privately and much of the maintenance work is undertaken by volunteers as a celebration of the values of the Pennsylvania Dutch. The Lititz Spring Park is the perfect place for children and families. They put on one of the state's best Fourth of July celebrations and welcome picnickers. Staying in a Lititz bed and breakfast will allow visitors multiple return trips to the park as well as other area attractions.
