The 5 Best Lake Erie Fishing Spots by Avon Lake

Sport fishermen know that Lake Erie fishing is about as good as it gets. There is an opportunity to be challenged by many species of fish, most notably the walleye, which is known for the fight it can put up. The lake also offers many other freshwater fish, including steelhead trout and large and smallmouth bass. The best fishing takes place in July and August, when the lake is normally calm, but ice fishing is also popular.
