Stroll from your Ocean City Bed and Breakfast to this unique park. One of the first built along the Boardwalk, it was established in 1887 as a series of hotels and small diversions. But, quickly, it evolved into a ride-filled wonder, drawing attention from across the country. It still does. Spanning several acres, Trimpers now offers over 100 rides (each crafted to loving nostalgia) and a year-round schedule. Children will thrill with its carousels and water-flumes while adults will enjoy its novelty shops. It's fun for everyone. Trimpers is open from noon to midnight daily. No reservations are needed.

Ocean City travel is not always left to bright lights and laughter. It can instead be devoted to the past. With the Ocean City Life-Saving Museum, guests can learn of the sea and how it has shaped both Maryland and the town itself. From shipwreck ruins to diary entries from famed captains to even tales of mermaids, there is much to see. Visitors will be amazed by the impressive collections of maritime artifacts and the museum's efforts of preservation (environmentalism is always touted). It's not to be missed. Scheduling a trip here can be challenging, however, as the hours often change: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday (Memorial Day to Labor Day); 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (Labor Day through September 31); and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (October and May).
