Battleship New Jersey was commissioned in 1942 and served in four wars including: World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Persian Gulf War. Visitors can tour the main deck and fly a Seahawk in the flight simulator before heading below to tour the navigation and weapons station. Overnight encampment allows visitors to spend the night in the sleeping quarters and bunks.

Battleship New Jersey is open from 9:30am to 3pm for tours and the schedule is seasonal. Admission is $21.95 for Adults; Seniors. Veterans and Children (ages 5 to 11) is $17.00. Active Military and Children ages 5 and under are FREE.

The Walt Whitman House

Visit The Walt Whitman House, the home where Walt Whitman, "America's poet" lived as the penned the famous "Leaves of Grass." Now considered to be a National Historic Landmark and part of the National Parks and Forestry division, the humble abode was built in 1848 and is where Whitman lived until his death in 1892.

The Walt Whitman House is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10am to Noon and from 1pm to 4pm and on Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. The house is closed on Monday and Tuesday. Admission is FREE to the public.

The historic Harleigh Cemetery in Camden, New Jersey is the final resting place of Walt Whitman. Interned in 1892, Walt Whitman's tomb. Interestingly enough, the tomb was actually designed by Whitman himself. The original design was hand drawn and given to the executor to the poet's writing estate before his death. Harleigh Cemetery is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
